New York Extra is a blend consisting in 95% of quality Central America Arabica seeds enriched with 5% of legendary Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee – one of the most expensive coffee in the world. Thanks to this composition, New York Extra forms an excellent, thick nut-brown crema, full body, and light, sweet and chocolate taste. This all together attests to the excellent qualities of this blend. The highest standard of New York Extra coffee was confirmed by the triumph in a grand espresso contest conducted by the prestigious Gourmet Magazine.
Montecatini-Terme is a small resort town in famous Tuscany, northern Italy. It is here, where in the 30's of the last century, Signor Ugo Incerpi, the owner of the popular „Del Bar New York”, began the great adventure of roasting coffee to meet the expectations of the distinguished guests of the spa. In a short time, the small roaster has gained tremendous prestige. In the fifties, an heir of Signor Ugo, Signor Oscar Onori transformed a small shop at the back of Bar New York into a thriving enterprise. In the following decades, the excellent blends from Montecatini Terme not only marked their presence on the market but also gained recognition among the most demanding espresso aficionados around the world.
